JSC New School Value

Dear Wales Street community. 

We are really excited to introduce our new school value, Perseverance. Perseverance means not giving up, even when things are hard. It’s about keeping on trying, learning from mistakes, and finding the courage to keep going.

We all know that sometimes schoolwork, sports, or even friendships can be challenging. Perseverance reminds us that it’s okay to struggle, because every time we keep trying, we grow stronger and more confident.

Think about when you first learned to ride a bike, or when you kept practising your times tables or completed the Grade 6 Exhibition. You probably didn’t get it straight away, but with perseverance, you did it.

As a school, we want to encourage everyone to persevere, to keep going, to support each other, and to celebrate the effort, not just the result.

So let’s remember: every challenge is a chance to show perseverance.
