Principal's Report

Dear Families,

Wonderful News

We are delighted to share that on Tuesday, Mrs Kimmorley became a grandmother! Her daughter Aspen and her husband Andrew welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Eli Jack, into their family. Everyone at school is thrilled for them and sends their warmest congratulations.

Before and After School Supervision

A friendly reminder that students are supervised in the school yard from 8:45am (15 minutes before school begins) and in the afternoon from 3:15–3:30pm. Some families have been dropping children off at the swings in the youth space before school. While this is a fun way to start the morning, please remind your child to move into school promptly once the music starts to avoid being late for class.

If your child travels by bus, they are expected to come directly into the school grounds on arrival. Once students have entered the school grounds, they are not permitted to leave again to visit the swings before class.

Toolamba Athletics

Next Tuesday we look forward to our Athletics Sports! Students have been busy practising their events, and we are all hoping for fine weather. Families are warmly invited to join us on the day to cheer on the students and enjoy the community spirit.

Father’s Day Stall

Our Father’s Day Stall is on Wednesday 3rd September. Donations for the stall can be sent to school with your child or placed in the baskets in the foyer. If you are avaliable to help on the day the stall starts at 9am and usually is finished by 11am. The stall will be set up in the Art Room.

CYBER SAFETY - VICTORIA POLICE

On August 26th we a visit from Constable Brooke Alexander who spoke to students about Cyber Safety. She sent a clear message to the kids about the dangers of messaging strangers through social media and game chats

RESPECTFUL RELATIONSHIPS

Yesterday, we had a visit from Joel and Kathryn from the Respectful Relationships team. They worked with the Grade 5/6s and facilitated activities focussed around social and emotional wellbeing. Some of the activities asked the students to think about how they communicate, their behaviours, who to ask for help and how they also contribute to helping others. Their visits will support transitions into Grade Six as well as Secondary School. We have two more sessions to go.

Have a lovely weekend,

Regards Filippa and Heather
