Wellbeing

Sexual Health Victoria - EveryBODY

This program has begun and students are showing responsibility and maturity in classes. The program is designed to be comprehensive and age-appropriate, delivered progressively throughout primary and secondary school, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to navigate puberty and develop healthy relationships.

The everyBODY Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) program plays a crucial role in supporting the healthy development of our students. It provides age-appropriate, inclusive, and respectful education on relationships, consent, and personal boundaries. By fostering open dialogue and promoting emotional well-being, the program empowers students to make informed, confident decisions about their bodies and relationships. Parents are encouraged to engage with the materials and join in the shared responsibility of creating a safe and supportive environment for their children’s growth. https://wellbeingguide.acer.org/program/sexual-health-victoria-everybody

Student Attitudes to School Survey Data

On Monday 25 August, the student leaders will attend a staff meeting and work with staff to further unpack the Student Attitudes to School data and review if there are any changes we need to make to our programs to improve things for our students.

We will share further information with our community once the students have completed their review and formulated their recommendations.

Bullying No Way: National week of action

Bullying No Way Week returned between 11–15 August 2025.

Bullying No Way Week is Australia's key bullying prevention initiative for schools. It provides an opportunity for schools to create a shared understanding about bullying behaviours and share their bullying prevention policies and strategies.

The national week of action unites government, Catholic and independent schools and their communities across the country. Together, we can foster practical approaches to prevent bullying in Australian schools.

2025 theme

The theme for 2025 is 'Be bold. Be kind. Speak up.'

It takes courage to spark change.

Bullying is everyone's responsibility. It takes a community to be brave and address bullying behaviours, within and beyond the school gate.

Students can be bold, kind and take a stand to support others being bullied. While parents and teachers are there to support children and young people learn how to behave in a positive way.

In our community and in our school, we want a place where everyone can belong, a place that celebrates everyone, and where bullying is never accepted.

This Bullying No Way Week, we're asking students, schools, families and communities to be bold and say something, be kind and support someone, and be proud to take a stand against bullying.

Registration

Each year, thousands of schools from government, Catholic and independent schools across Australia come together to promote inclusion, respect and belonging.

Individuals, early childhood providers, community and sporting organisations also play an important role in working with young people to find bullying prevention solutions and are invited to join as supporters.

Whether you're a parent, teacher, student or member of the broader community, we invite you to join us. Everyone has a role to play in bullying prevention. It's time to 'Be bold. Be kind. Speak up.'

Active Schools Grant

This year our school received a grant to spend on equipment to help our students to be more active. You will see some new soccer goals, balls, whistles and umpire vests in the yard for the students to use. This means that there are now enough goals for each of the P-2s', 3/4's and 5/6's to use. Students who choose to umpire will wear a red vest and use the squeezy whistle to help the team to stop when the ball goes out of bounds and when a decision needs to be shared.

Two new outdoor table tennis tables have been purchased and will be installed in the coming weeks. These are for all students to use during break times.
