R U OK? Day Bake Sale
Thursday 11 September
We are excited to announce that the Middle School will be holding a special bake sale on Thursday 11 September, in recognition of R U OK? Day. This important day encourages all Australians to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with anyone who may be struggling. It's about building the confidence and skills to have conversations that could change a life.
During this event, the Middle School's Wellbeing Committee will be sharing strategies on how students can check in with their peers and offer support when needed. These valuable skills will help foster a caring and supportive school community.
We kindly ask families to contribute baked goods for the sale. Please drop off your donations at the Middle School Office on the morning of 11 September. Items will be sold for $2-$3 each, with all proceeds going towards the Build a Brick campaign, organised by the Women's Shelter, which supports those affected by domestic violence in our community.
Your support in this initiative is greatly appreciated.
MS Readathon Update
We have entered the last week of Readathon and what a great effort from our Middle School Team! We have raised over $2,400 thanks to a few super-fundraisers! We encourage students to continue fundraising and don’t forget to log the books you have read in order to be eligible for your Service hours. The website will remain open for donations until the 14 September.

An email has been sent to families this week advising of the dates for each key class.

Students should pack any required medication and will need a drink bottle and warm clothes.
Middle School House Panto
Wednesday 17 September - 6pm
It's that time of year again, HOUSE PANTO time!
Students and staff will be putting their House Pride and theatre skills to the test as they go head-to-head to take out the coveted House Panto shield for 2025. We warmly invite family and friends to our performance on Wednesday 17 September at 6pm in The Farrall Centre.
This year, the Student Voice Council has chosen to support the Hobart City Mission with the proceeds of the tickets sold. After a visit to their Safe Sleep Space early this term, the students are hoping to raise awareness and funds for some of our city's most vulnerable citizens. We will also be launching a Donation Drive in Term 4, and a Middle School cook off, to prepare much needed frozen meals for the shelter.
In the spirit of our Quaker Values of Community and Integrity, students are requesting a $5 donation per ticket to support the Hobart City Mission to continue their amazing work with Hobart's homeless.
Tickets are available here and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds, but we thank you for your generous donation to the Hobart City Mission!
