Middle of Term Breakfast
In the spirit of community and celebration, we enjoyed a delightful Middle Of Term (MOT) pancake breakfast on Tuesday. It was great to bring together families, students, our staff team, and our church members for a morning filled with warmth, laughter, and delicious pancakes. The breakfast served not only as a tasty mid term treat but also as an opportunity for everyone to connect beyond the classroom.
With golden pancakes stacked high and a variety of toppings on offer, we enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere where conversations flowed as freely as the maple syrup. Teachers mingled with parents, students shared their term highlights, reinforcing the bonds that make the school a true community hub.
It provided a refreshing pause in the busy school term, allowing all involved to recharge, reflect, and look forward to the remainder of the term with renewed spirit and togetherness. Thanks to our P & F committee for all of their organisation for the event and our many church volunteers who helped out on the day.

Eisugakkan
Year 5 students from Eisugakkan School, our sister school in Japan, will be visiting Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th July. During their stay, the students will have the opportunity to experience Australian culture and connect with our students. On Saturday 26th July, the school is seeking homestay families to host the visiting students, providing them with a unique and memorable experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to engage in cultural exchange and offer a warm welcome to these young visitors. If you're interested in hosting, please contact Mrs Melissa Bishop, our Teacher of Japanese via email - bishop.melissa@goldengrove.sa.edu.au
Ash Wednesday
As a school, we gathered for a meaningful Ash Wednesday Chapel service to mark the beginning of the Lenten season. Students and staff participated in a reflective service, receiving the symbol of ashes on their foreheads as a reminder of repentance, humility, and the journey towards Easter. Through prayers, Bible readings, and song, the service provided a quiet moment of connection and reflection for the school community, encouraging everyone to embrace the season of Lent with a spirit of reflection and growth.

Principal
As my youngest enters year 11 it can still be tough to get much out of her from time to time.
Each day as I ask her how her day was the response for a long time has been the standard – ‘Ok!’ Joking with her a lot about this she has now moved mostly to the word – ‘Good!’ She will now even mutter a few other sentences to share how the day was.
Kids of all ages can be fun, tough and challenging to talk to at times.
As you talk with your kids after school, continue to build the positive relationship by giving the ultimate in attention. Enjoy the latest read from Dr Justin Coulson.

EVALUATION:
The focus of the survey sent out last week, was the ENVIRONMENT of the school. Thank you to the parents and caregivers who completed the survey. The responses have provided us with parent perspective that enables us to understand our strengths in this area and highlights areas in which we can improve.
We would love you to give us feedback via a new survey about the CULTURE of the school. School culture refers to the written and unwritten rules that define how a school functions. It addresses personal and collective well-being, the effective use of physical and human resources, and the extent to which a school acknowledges, values and celebrates the diversity of humankind.
The survey will be available until next Wednesday. You can click on the link below or scan the QR code.
