Using EduSafe Plus for Reporting First Aid Administered to Students
Please use EduSafe Plus to document medium and major instances of first aid administered to our students. Maintaining accurate records is essential for monitoring student well-being and ensuring duty of care.
Major incidents (e.g., head injuries, fractures, allergic reactions, or any situation requiring emergency medical assistance) must be documented in EduSafe Plus, and families should be notified immediately via a phone call.
So far, we have had only 11 incidents reported, which may indicate that some incidents are not being captured in EduSafe Plus.
To ensure we have a comprehensive record of student care, we encourage all staff to consistently report medium and major incidents.
These records help identify patterns, inform risk management strategies, and ensure compliance with DET policies. By using EduSafe Plus effectively, we can enhance our first aid response and continue to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
An OHS Safety Champion is someone who actively promotes and supports workplace health and safety by identifying risks, encouraging safe practices, and fostering a culture of safety.
This week our safety champion is Tanya Ascenzo for being a responsive first aider!
