Nude Food Tuesday Trophy

On Tuesday Miss Middlin and the Grade 6 Sustainability Team will be running a Nude Food competition. This competition is aiming to promote sustainability across the school. Nude Food is simply food that is not wrapped in foil, plastic or commercial packaging. On Tuesday selected students will be allocated a time to survey classes to see how many have brought Nude Food to school. The class with the most students with the most Nude Food will receive the new Nude Food Trophy. Last week the winner was 5/6GR. 

Every fortnight we will be having a STEM question for students to answer. The questions will be posted in the school's newsletter. These questions will not be compulsory, but will be a bit of fun and a challenge for students. Students can write their answer on a piece of paper and place it in the appropriate box inside the STEM room. At the end of the week Miss Middlin will do a lucky dip and select one student from Prep- 2 will receive a small science related prize. Well done to all those that entered last week's competition.

What makes a rainbow?

Clean Up Australia Day is a national day of environmental action that takes place every year in Australia. It is organised by the environmental charity Clean Up Australia. The aim of the event is to raise awareness of protecting the environment, living more sustainably and reducing waste. At Buninyong Primary School we will take part in Clean Up Australia Day activities on Monday the 10th of March. Activities will be held on Monday during recess and lunch times with Miss Middlin. The Grade 2 students will also focus on this as part of the sustainability unit in STEM classes during the week. Stay tuned for more information.
