Foundation
On the students 20th day of school Zero the Hero came to visit again and students had fun threading 20 beads onto a string.
Students have also been practicing their numbers by ordering their numbers on the big number line.
Students have been learning new sounds and adding them to their knowledge bank. Today they learnt short O sound and made O Octopi š!
After learning the letter b we had a fun afternoon with balloons!Ā
Fine motor skills are always a part of everyday activities, which is essential to a foundation student's development. Playdoh being a class favourite.Ā
In skill zone the preps played tagging games and learnt to take turns and play in teams. Lots of happy, healthy fun.
Year 1/2
Writing:Ā Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, we headed outdoors and sat on picnic rugs under the trees to listen to the book Lester and Clyde. Building on our current writing unit on recounts, we then wrote a detailed recount on this experience.
Math:Ā Using whiteboards and MAB blocks, the students explored place value by identifying and partitioning numbers.
Handwriting:Ā We are working on improving our handwriting using sky, grass, dirt magnetic boards, with a focus on letter size and correct formation.
Art:Ā The students painted these vibrant color wheels using primary colours, exploring how secondary colours are made and the difference between warm and cool colours.
Year 3/4
During The Resilience Project 3/4J learnt about busy minds, and how to calm them in different settings.

3/4P learnt about filling people's buckets, how to compliment someone and how it feels to receive one. Small acts of kindness
Year 5/6
The 5/6 enjoying the sunshine for skillzone this week. All participating in tails, flinch, soccer and kickball. Lots of fun and laughter!!Ā Ā
