Principal's Update

It's hard to believe we are already at the end of week 7 of Term 1! With only 3 weeks remaining of this term I would like to remind parents that the final day of term is Friday 4th April. We will return to school for Term 2 on Tuesday 22nd April, due to the Monday being a public holiday for Easter Monday.
NAPLAN
Congratulations to all our Year 3 and 5 students who have sat their NAPLAN assessments this week. I know that most parents are accustomed to the NAPLAN assessments these days. However, I really want to be sure that all parents and families remember that this is just another assessment. Your children complete assessment tasks for their teachers all the time. This shouldn’t be made out to be any more important than those tasks. All we ask is that students give the assessment tasks their best efforts, and they certainly have. We have one more NAPLAN assessment on Monday 17th March, and I would like to commend the students on their concentration and efforts shown during the assessments so far.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
We would like to invite you to our upcoming Parent/Teacher Interviews, which will take place on Thursday March 20th, from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher and discuss their progress in school.
Interviews for 1/2R will be held on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th March, as Mrs Rae is unavailable on March 20th.
To book your appointment, you can log in to Compass and select the preferred time slot that suits you. If you require any assistance with booking your appointment, please feel free to contact our school office, and we will be happy to assist you.
The Parent/Teacher Interviews are a valuable opportunity for you to discuss your child's strengths, weaknesses, and progress with their teacher. It is also an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about their academic or personal development.
Please ensure that you arrive on time for your appointment, and that you allow enough time to speak with your child's teacher. If you are unable to attend the parent-teacher interviews, please let your child's teacher know, and they will arrange an alternative time to discuss your child's progress.
We look forward to seeing you at the parent-teacher interviews and working together to support your child's learning and development.
Have a great weekend!
