Centenary Whole School Assembly

Centenary Whole School Assembly – Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future of NHS

As part of our Centenary celebrations, we warmly invite our entire school community to attend a very special Whole School Assembly on Tuesday, 28 April 2026 from 11:30am – 12:40pm at Merri Park (North Park).

This year’s assembly will carry the theme “Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future of NHS”, bringing together students, families, alumni, ex-staff and community members to celebrate 100 years of Northcote High School.

This is not just our annual assembly—it is a significant centenary event that will feature:

  • A cultural smoking ceremony to open proceedings
  • Musical performances by our students
  • Reflections on our school’s history and future
  • Addresses from:
  • Principal, Chris Jones
  • Assistant Principal (Head of Senior School), Jane Lange
  •  School Captains (past and present)
  • A special moment where our 2026 School Captains will be presented with the NHS blazer, symbolising leadership and tradition
  • An alumni speaker (to be confirmed)

Following the assembly, alumni are invited to a light lunch in the W M Olver Hall (RSVP required)
