International Women's Day 

International Women’s Day at Northcote High  

Last week our school community came together to celebrate International Women’s Day and reflect on the power of equality, inspiration, and collective action. 

Our staff shared a morning tea and made personal pledges about how they can support gender equality and empower women in their everyday lives. 

Our incredible FemCo students created a powerful chain filled with the names of women who inspire us, a visual reminder that the impact of strong women connects generations. The chain can now be viewed in the library.  

Across the school, students explored these ideas through a Connect lesson, and at lunchtime the library came alive with book displays, badge making and temporary tattoos that brought the school community together.  

At Northcote High we believe small actions create big change. Here’s to continuing the conversation and supporting the women and girls in our community every day.
