REMINDER - Year 5 Camp - Monday 16 - Wednesday 18 March 2026
We are looking forward to the Year 5 Camp, which will be held in Week 8 of Term 1, from Monday 16 to Wednesday 18 March, 2026.
Camp Details:
Year 5 will travel by coach to Chittick Lodge in Gerringong. This centre is ideally located and offers a wide range of activities. The lodges are very clean and comfortable. Students will be divided into activity groups led by Kambala staff members and camp assistants.
Note: While we will make our best efforts for cabin allocations, these may be affected by student absences.
Key Dates & Times:
- Camp Dates: Monday 16 to Wednesday 18 March, 2026.
- Drop-off (Monday 16 March): Students must arrive at 7:20 am for an 8:00 am SHARP bus departure.
Procedure: Parents, please drop your daughters at the Tivoli Carline and say goodbye there. Girls are then to proceed immediately to Tivoli Lawn for roll call.
- Pick-up (Wednesday 18 March): Students will return to school in time for collection from the Tivoli Carline at 3:20 pm. We will post an arrival time update from 2.00pm on Sundial in case of traffic delays.

NEW KAMBALA MEDICATION PROTOCOL
As we prepare for the upcoming school camps, we would like to advise families of the school’s procedures regarding the management of medications while students are away from school.
To ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students, all medications, vitamins and supplements to be administered during camp must be provided in a Webster pack supplied by your pharmacist.
This requirement applies to:
- Prescription medications
- Over-the-counter medications
- Vitamins and Supplements
Webster packs allow staff to:
- Administer medication accurately and safely
- Clearly identify the correct dosage and timing
- Meet the school’s duty of care and medication management obligations
Important Information for Parents
- Webster packs must be clearly labelled with your child’s name, medication details, and administration times.
- Medications must be provided for the full duration of camp.
- Loose medications, original bottles, or unlabelled containers cannot be accepted.
If you have any questions or concerns about this requirement, please contact Student Services as soon as possible so we can support you.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us provide a safe and well-managed camp experience for all students.
If your daughter requires an EpiPen or Asthma inhaler, she should carry them with her for the duration of the camp. The students with Anaphylaxis will require two current EpiPens and an updated Anaphylaxis Action Plan for camp. Students with Asthma will require an Asthma Action Plan.
Additional Information
The students will not require a mobile phone whilst on school camp. Please do not pack your daughter’s mobile phone in her camp belongings.
Additionally, the only food students are required to pack is morning tea and lunch on the first day. These should be packed in her day 1 backpack. Students should not bring extra food or snacks to camp. If you have any concerns, please contact your daughter’s classroom teacher to discuss.
Please remember that mobile phones, smart watches and air trackers are not permitted, and no food is to be taken to Camp including sweets and chocolate.
If there are any special dietary requirements, please advise your class teacher via the form in this pack.
The cost of the camp is included in the Year 5 levy.
REMINDER Year 3 Camp - Thursday 19 - Friday 20 March 2026
We are looking forward to the Year 3 Camp, which will be held in Week 8 of Term 1, from Thursday 19 to Friday 20 March 2026.
Year 3 will travel by coach to Rathane, located in The Royal National Park. Rathane provides comfortable accommodation with heritage charm, a large covered veranda, and a large in-ground swimming pool with a separate water slide.
The Camp will be directed by Youthworks. The aim is to provide learning experiences that challenge students to develop a holistic approach to life within an outdoor recreational environment and a caring community.
The girls will be divided into groups under the direction of Kambala Staff and camp assistants, and they will be involved in activities relating to Natural Science and Geography. Activities include indoor games, water slides, a trip to the mangroves, and Christian discovery. The focus of all our camps is for the girls to have fun!
Please note the following important details:
Departure: Your daughter must be at school by 7.30am on Thursday 19 March 2026, for the bus departure at 8.00am SHARP.Please say goodbye to your daughter at Tivoli Avenue Carline.
Return: The girls will arrive back at School on Friday 20 March at approximately 3.00pm. Parents can collect their daughters as usual from the Tivoli carline at the 3.00pm collection time.
We will post updates that afternoon from 2.00pm on Sundial in case of traffic delays.

StEPS Vision Screening for Preparation Students - Thursday 19 March 2026
StEPS is a free NSW Health service offered to all childcare and day care centres with the aim of screening the vision of all children who are 4 years of age or older.
Our 2026 Preparation Students will undergo their Vision Screening on Thursday 19 March 2026.
Year 5 IPSHA Debating Competition Trials - Tuesday 24 and 31 March 2026
Any Year 5 students wanting to take part in IPSHA Debating competition in terms 2 and 3 will need to register to trial.
The IPSHA Trials will take place at lunchtime on Tuesday 24 March or Tuesday 31 March in EJ04. These trials are to select students to represent Kambala in the IPSHA competition. Kambala will enter two teams of five students, with 10 students selected in total.

You are invited to attend URSTRONG’s Language of Friendship, an online parent-child workshop, on Wednesday 25 March at 6:30pm AEDT.
