Anthony's Message

Dear Sunshine Heights Parents and Carers,

I would like to warmly welcome all our students and families back to Term 2 . As many of you will already be aware, David is currently on leave overseas and we look forward to his return in a couple of weeks. 

This week teachers engaged in a planning week, where the timetable is adjusted to give students their specialist sessions in one day and allow our teachers a block of time to plan for the term of learning. 

Yesterday, we were able to announce via Compass the exciting news that we have received infrastructure funding through a Commonwealth Government Grant scheme. These much needed funds will allow for the full refurbishment of our toilet block. This great result for our school is in no small part due to the active lobbying from our wonderful parent/carer community.

Our Term 2 calendar again looks packed with wonderful experiences for our students and community, and we are excited about what the next few months of learning will bring. A highlight will be Twilight School, which will occur on Thursday the 6th of June. We look forward to seeing all our families at this unique event.
