Cross Country Carnival

Earn Points for your House

We are now only one week away from the 2024 Cross Country Carnival! All students have the potential to earn points for their House by competing. Please read the below key information:

Consent

Years 7&8: This is a compulsory event for Year 7 and 8 students only. Consent must be given by Monday 29 April 2024 to the event on Compass. Please give consent now if you are yet too. 

Years 9-12: This is an optional event for Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 students. Those students who signed up in Years 9-12 have been added to the “Year 9-12 Cross Country” event and must consent by Monday 29 April to the event on Compass.

Classes

Year 7-8: Classes will run for Period 1-2 only. 

Year 9-12: Classes will run all day during Period 1-4 as per usual. 

Location

The event will be held at Lewis Park Reserve.

Lunch/Water

Students should bring their lunch/water with them; a limited canteen will be open on the day run by the Fairpark Junior Football Club.

Uniform

Students should wear Wantirna College Sports/PE uniform with runners recommended.

Dismissal

Students will be dismissed from Lewis Park Reserve at the conclusion of the carnival, 2:30pm.

Progression to Knox Division

The top 15 students in each age group and gender (e.g. top 15 for 13Y boys, top 15 for 13Y girls) will progress through to the Knox Division Championships.
