2024 Prep students have been an absolute delight to teach Italian. Students have been displaying their enthusiasm and have learnt how to greet and respond to a simple conversational phrase Come ti chiami? Mi chiamo …. My name is ….
Students are often engaging with me, using their newly formed Italian greetings and statements in the playground.
Prep students are learning to count to ten and are absolutely exerting their efforts to achieve this goal through ball games and regular oral work.
They understand this subject is a language spoken in a country called Italy and know the colours of the Italian flag. Most students understand the concept of what a country is and that Italy is on the other side of the world. The shape of the country is a boot and mainly surrounded by water.
They are learning to sing the Ciao, Buongiorno, Come stai? song, and thoroughly enjoy learning through playing games and craft activities.
