'It takes a village to raise  a child." African Proverb

Dear Parents and families,

It is wonderful to be back after my very first stint of Long service leave. I enjoyed 10 sunny days with my family in WA, Perth and Margaret River where we enjoyed a family wedding. What  a beautiful part of the world. Thanks to the members of the community who gave me some reccomendations and tips to make my getaway even more special.

On my return I have truly reflected on what a beautiful community we have at Sacred Heart where students and families interact and help each other out. Whether  a parent is running late or a family is taking  a crew to training one night, the support and care provided by our Sandy community is truly very special. I am witness to all the comings and goings on the gate each day and the logistics are quite remarkable. It certainly takes a village to raise a child and what better village to be in. I'm feeling very blessed to be a part of this warm and welcoming community.

I have certainly hit the ground running this week with our NCCD audit on the day I returned and a huge thanks to all the staff  for their hard work in collecting evidence. I am pleased to announce that we passed with flying colours. What  a relief. A special thank you to Simon Collis & Karen Matthiesson  and the leadership team for the way they have all been incredibly supportive of me during this preparation time to ensure we crossed all our t's and dotted our i's. The hard work has certainly paid off.
