Best wishes to the class of 2023!

On Tuesday 17 October, we will farewell the class of 2023. We wish them all the best as they begin the final period of revision before their exams and for their future endeavours beyond our school gates. It is with great pride that we have witnessed immense growth in these students over the past six years and their adaptability in dealing with the challenges they have faced.

Year 12  Reports

Year 12 end of semester reports will be available on Tuesday 17 October. Any Year 11 students who have accelerated into a Year 12 subject, will receive the report for their Year 12 subject with their end of semester report at the end of the year.

VCE Book Lists and Step Up Program

Year 10 and 11 students will undertake the Step Up program for their Year 11 & 12 VCE studies from Monday 20 November to Friday 1 December. Year 10 & 11 students will receive their 2024 Subject Confirmation and Booklist information on Monday 16 October.

VCE Book Lists are due online by Friday 20 October. All orders placed by this date will be posted to the selected address FREE OF CHARGE in the week ending Friday 10 November.  There is an option to purchase books secondhand through Sustainable School Shop.

The booklist timeline has been brought forward to ensure that VCE students have the necessary resources for both Step Up weeks and over the summer break. Step Up enables students to start their VCE studies in earnest, including the provision of some preparatory homework for the holiday period, with a view to alleviating some of the time pressures and constraints of next year.  Consequently it is an important time in the life of a VCE student and it will be crucial that our students bring the right mindset to it.

We look forward to an exciting, challenging and rewarding 2024 for our VCE students.

St Joseph’s Work Related Skills Team

St Joseph’s identifies that all of our students are important and unique, and acknowledges that they will take different paths throughout their working lives.  In further recognition of this, we are excited to welcome our Work Related Skills Team and we encourage students and parents to take up the opportunity to connect with the team to assist with all things work related.

The team consists of three Work Related Skills Educators who have a variety of skill sets, experiences and connections to industry and employers across our community.  Terri, Jess and Ben will work on a variety of disciplines across the College, aimed at preparing students for work experience, placements, apprenticeships or traineeships.

The team will specialise in working with individual students on employer expectations, workplace etiquette and relationships, employability skills in theory and action, interpersonal skills, roleplaying work practices, scenarios and job interviews.

St Joseph’s acknowledges that navigating pathways into the work force for our young people can be challenging and the team are here to help. Please don't hesitate to reach out and get in touch with one of the Work Related Skills Team via the details below:
