R U OK Day Colour Run Fundraiser

On September 13, Gold House and the Wellbeing Team joined forces to bring the school community together for the R U-OK Day Colour Run Fundraiser. The day raised nearly $900 for the Alannah and Madeleine Foundation and was not only a successful fundraiser, but also an incredible day of fun and the atmosphere on the oval was sensational.

The Belmont music program provided live music and the BBQ was fired up to hand out sausages for the hungry students. The Gold leaders ran competitions including a putting competition in the gym, footy kick in a bin, soccer kick into a hoop and a basketball knockout and handed out prizes to the winners. A highlight for many was the cream throwing station where students donated a coin to throw a cream plate at either Mr Baker, Mr Ellis, Ms Godde, Mr Fanning and Riley Brown from Wellbeing.

It was fantastic to see students, teachers, and staff members come together to make the afternoon such a great success. I would like to extend a massive thank you to the Wellbeing team who did a power of work organizing, the Gold leaders for running the competitions, Mr Vos and 8 Gold for helping set up and throw colour and the staff who were rostered on to a duty. The afternoon really highlighted how strong the Belmont High School community is. Gold House and the Wellbeing Team are looking forward to the next one!
