THE PURPLE PRESS

In a previous Newsletter article, we shared that Jordan Carswell of 7 Purple was striving to raise money for Melbourne City Mission’s Front Yard Youth Services by completing a 5km run with the Airforce Cadets. Over 200 cadets and staff from all around Victoria participated and Jordan did the 5km run in 26 minutes, raising a grand total of $1,127. Jordan would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone from the BHS community that donated towards this cause. All up, the Victorian Wing of Airforce Cadets raised over $20,000 for MCM, which will go towards young people experiencing homelessness. Well done, Jordan.

Over the next 3 weeks, 8 Silver & 8 Purple will be competing in a House competition as part of their Ten Pin Bowling Unit in PE. Today was our first lesson and Mr Fanning was the run-away victor. Stay tuned for the Class Vs Class results in a future newsletter article.
