End of Term 3!

It's hard to believe, but we've made it!

Year 12s

Congratulations to those Year 12s who have been signed off from all of their Class, Trades and Farm courses and successfully completed their schooling.  We look forward to seeing you all at Valedictory.

For those still with some competencies to complete, we are here to assist you next term - please refer to the information from Mrs Berbari in her Chatter article.

Year 12 ATAR - woohoo! Mocks are done! Take a well-earned break over the holidays and we will see you fresh and ready to go next term.

Week 1 - optional study sessions Monday-Wednesday

Week 2 & 3 - compulsory study sessions Monday-Wednesday

Week 4 & 5 - WACE exams

Year 11s

One term to go and you will be entering your final year of schooling - still plenty of learning to do so let's keep up the fantastic work in the classroom and finish the year in a strong position for next year.  Just remember, any C-grades you achieve now, will assist you with obtaining your WACE at the end of Year 12.

Mathematics with Mr Chao

On Friday of Week 8, the College had one of its most successful Open Days for the general public. In the Mathematics Area, we demonstrated several scenarios of how mathematics is used in Superannuation and how to design a healthy diet for students using rate, percentage and ratio. In addition, and for the first time, Year 11 ATAR students learned how to build an App to manage farm stocks using their ClassPads, and their work was on display.

Many parents enquired about our courses and were interested in our online learning platforms and how they linked to farming and everyday lives. Furthermore, the day had several fun activities for younger audiences in the mathematics area. There was a robotic arm used for teaching the general public about Cartesian Coordinates, a treasure hunt activity for teaching our audience about the College map and navigation, and a two-way table survey for collecting the type of audience and their preference for different types of agribusinesses so our Year 11 students could use the data to study the demography of the region.
