From the Head of Sport 1 November
Congratulations to all teams last Saturday.
Well done to the First XI for posting an impressive win over their opposition, St Stanislas’ College last Saturday away in Bathurst. Special mention to Ronan O’Neill who took five wickets for just 9 runs in 8 overs. Our College Golf team turned the tables from a 1-3 loss last weekend to a 3-1 win last Saturday against Newington College with Joe Doran and Lucas Daher leading the way.
I personally had the pleasure of watching our A Basketball teams play away against Central Coast Grammar School. What is always a tough road trip, all teams played with distinction and great sportsmanship. Fantastic wins to the 13A, 15A and 17A teams. Commiseration to the First V who went down to their opposition by a single point (74-75).
The College Swimming Squad will have two opportunities to compete and race this term. Sadly, some of the other schools are choosing not to run their Invitation Carnivals this term, however the Squad will continue to train on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons in preparation for our own St Patrick’s invitational to be held on Friday 10 November 7:00 PM at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre followed by a swimming meet at Trinity Grammar pool commencing at 5:00 PM (warm up) on Friday 24 November.

The College wishes to congratulate Marcello Romeo (Year 8), who placed First in the NSW State Gymnastic Competition last weekend at Rooty Hill in the Level 6 Men's Open Division.
We also wish to acknowledge Valentino Romeo (Year 10) placing Fifth in the same division.
