What an exceptional term it has been for Music House JMSS! Throughout this term, a multitude of events have unfolded, leaving a lasting impression on our community. The highlight was undoubtedly our grand Winter Concert, a resounding success that captivated a vast and appreciative audience.
Following this triumph, the Brass and Woodwind soiree took center stage, featuring awe-inspiring performances by our remarkably talented students in solo and small group settings. The flute ensemble, in particular, garnered resounding acclaim for their splendid performance.
As we approach the culmination of the year, the music team is gearing up for a series of exciting events in Term 4. Mark your calendars for these key dates:
- Mass Item Rehearsal: Tuesday, October 3rd
- VCE Unit 4 Soiree: Thursday, October 5th
- Phantom of the Opera Screening: Tuesday, October 24th
- VCE Unit 2 Soiree: Thursday, October 26th
- JMSS Jazz Night: Thursday, November 16th
- Presentation Night: Monday, December 4th
In closing, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our outgoing Music Captains for 2023, Luna Kan and Mia Fenton. Their exemplary student leadership has left an indelible mark on our musical community, and they deserve our highest commendation. We also proudly introduce our 2024 Music Captains, Sabrina Pavia and Kai Cheung. Congratulations to Sabrina and Kai on this well-deserved honor!
