Cocurricular

I am very much looking forward to attending the Kingfisher Concert this evening, an event that showcases many of our Cocurricular music ensembles. This week has also seen our Great Southern Perspectives Arts Exhibition and our Technologies Showcase. I am always impressed by the quality of the work (both in class and through cocurricular activities) from our students. The Arts are an important way for young people to express themselves and explore the world around them. This term has also seen students participate in a Circus Skills Club, and I thank Ms Rachel Mordy for her enthusiasm in starting this club for our students.

Circus Club

A small group of students have had a fantastic time every Friday afternoon learning circus and acrobatic skills with Cassy Turner (Class of 2010). They have been practising their backbends, pyramids and ‘backpacks’ where one student is balanced on another. Their flexibility and balance skills have been very impressive. They are finishing with a short performance for their parents tomorrow afternoon.
