Inquiry

This term the inquiry unit focuses on Civics and Citizenship and Culture. The children will unpack what makes up their identity and their place within the community. They will explore the different community connections they have and what is the difference between a law and a rule and how these impact on how we conduct ourselves within the various community groups we belong to in terms of family, school, and social groups.  

The children will explore their own heritage and present a family tree. They will also explore cultural connections within their community and how these groups may have different rules and traditions and the importance of being sensitive to this. To build a greater awareness of the various cultural groups within our community, the students will select a culture to investigate.
