Orchestra in assembly
A student initiated group of string players accompanied the singing of “Advance Australia Fair” at assembly on Monday 25th March. Thank you Daniel L (6P), Diva A (6R), Jasmine B (4C), Angelina Z (6R), Charlie H (5L), Collin H (6H) and Jude M (6P) for the beautiful live music.
The IPS Orchestra then performed 2 pieces. “Dragonhunter” by Richard Meyer was played with a strong energy and was well received. “Waltz of the Skeletons” by Robert Spearing had been a challenge to learn, but came off really well in the performance and intrigued the audience with the tapping sound representing the rattling of the skeletons.
It is not easy to be 64 people playing together as one, so well done to all the players!
