Whole School House Cross Country Day
Rangeview Primary School once again hosted our annual Whole School House Cross Country Carnival on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, amidst delightful weather conditions. Students eagerly ran a course winding around the school grounds, culminating at the oval's starting and finishing line. Their grit and perseverance in honing their long-distance running abilities were evident, and all participants deserve commendation for their accomplishments. Throughout the day we had an impressive three school records broken!
The day brimmed with enjoyment and competitiveness, culminating in Solar clinching this year’s trophy making them back to back House Cross Country Champions. We extend our appreciation to our exceptional RPS staff and families for their invaluable assistance, encouragement & support throughout the event. Thank you to our wonderful P&F committee for their assistance with the creation of the balloon arch.
These results have been used in the selection of our District Cross Country team, who will represent Rangeview next Tuesday the 30th of April in the Nunawading District Carnival. Good Luck!

Nunawading Specters Clinics
Throughout the first few weeks of this term, our students have been fortunate to have Nunawading Specters NBL1 players participate in their PE sessions. These players have been instrumental in helping our students improve their dribbling, passing, shooting, and mindset in preparation for our Hoop Time competitions later this year! The players will continue to visit over the next fortnight. If you are interested in having your child participate in the Specters' new development program, please scan the QR code below.
Victorian Institute of Sport – Community Program
Last Friday, our Level 5/6 students were fortunate to receive a special visit from Australian Champion Taekwondo athlete Tom Afonczenko. As part of the Victorian Institute of Sport community program, Tom spoke to our students about high-level sports, the significance of education and goal setting, training, enjoying the process, the importance of sleep, and his own personal journey. Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gained valuable insights from the session. Good luck to Tom as he supports the next generation of Athletes at this year Paris Olympics!

Thank you to all the wonderful families, and especially Clint, for your support in training the students in preparation for the day. We are so lucky to have such a supportive running community. Go Rangeview!
