Year 10 students, Bronte, Hadassah, and Eva submitted their research project "Wood You Beleaf It?" to the National ASTA i3 Science Awards last year. Over 10,000 projects were submitted to the awards. The students were thrilled to hear that they were part of a group of elite 56 finalists across the country, because their project stood out as being notable and worthy of further recognition. Subject Spotlight: Year 9 Science

Year 9 students have been learning about sound with Mr Swift. This lesson is one of the final topics in the unit 'The Movement of Energy', where students have been introduced to the concept of the conservation of matter and energy transfer. This includes learning about electricity, electrical circuits, the electromagnetic spectrum, and both light and sound waves.

When God created the world, he created it with order and pattern. We can marvel at that order and find patterns in His creation. We can marvel at how energy moves as particles and waves whether its electrical, electromagnetic, or sound.
