Swimming News

On Thursday 7th March Brighton Primary school took 27 students to compete in the Seaside District Swimming Carnival at MSAC. All squad members competed with a great attitude and showed wonderful sportsmanship. 

Congratulations to Jack De Fina Nash who achieved 1st place in the 12/13 Boys 50m Freestyle and Butterfly. Sarah Nguyen also achieved 1st Place in the Multiclass 50m Backstroke and Breast stroke. These results sent both through to the Kingston Division Swimming Carnival just 5 days later.

On Tuesday 12th March both Sarah and Jack achieved fantastic results in their respective races. Sarah will be competing in both the 50m Breast stroke and Backstroke at the Regional Swimming Event on Wednesday 25th March. Jack performed really well achieving 2nd in the Freestyle and 1st in Butterfly. He will be joining Sarah at the Regional Event to compete in the 50m Butterfly.

We wish them both all the best for their events and look forward to hearing about their experience.
