ART - Term 3, 2025

  • Foundations: Our youngest artists will continue to improve their fine motor skills through various activities that involve drawing, painting, and crafting. These activities are essential for their overall development and will help them gain better control and coordination.
  • Year 1: Students will learn how to use clay to create sculptures. They will explore different techniques for shaping and moulding clay, and will have the opportunity to create their own unique pieces of art.
  • Year 2: This year group will dive into the world of Graffiti ART. They will learn about the history and cultural significance of graffiti and will experiment with different styles and techniques to create their own graffiti-inspired artworks.
  • Year 3 and 4: Students will be learning how to create stop motion animation. They will explore the basics of animation, including storyboarding, character design, and frame-by-frame animation. This project will allow them to bring their creative ideas to life through animated short films.
  • Year 5 and 6: Our senior students will focus on different photography skills and techniques. They will learn about composition, lighting, and editing, and will have the opportunity to practice their skills through various photography projects.

 

 

PE & Sport - Term 3, 2025

 

As we move into Term 3, we are excited to continue developing our students' physical literacy and fundamental movement skills. Foundation-Year 2 students will engage in a variety of interactive circuits and games designed to strengthen their ability to kick, punt, bounce, and dribble. Whilst also providing activities that aim to enhance their coordination, balance, and agility while providing a fun environment for learning. Year 3-6 students will focus on developing their skills in various Athletics events. These events include High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Sprints, Hurdles, Discus and Shot Put. Students will also be participating in various sports and games which aim to develop their game sense, resilience, and sportsmanship.

 

 

 

STEM - Term 3, 2025

  • Foundations: Our youngest learners will be introduced to the concept of forces. They will explore how different forces affect the movement of objects through fun and interactive activities.
  • Year 1: Students will delve into the world of sound. They will learn about how sound is produced, how it travels, and how we hear it. This will include experiments with different materials to see how they affect sound.
  • Year 2: This year group will continue their study of forces and will also have the exciting opportunity to create their own recyclable toys. This project will help them understand the practical applications of forces in everyday life.
  • Year 3: Students will focus on heat energy. They will investigate how heat is transferred and the effects of heat on different materials. This will include experiments to observe changes in states of matter.
  • Year 4: The focus will be on non-contact and contact forces. Students will learn about gravity, magnetism, and friction, and how these forces interact with objects. They will conduct experiments to see these forces in action.
  • Year 5 and 6: Our senior students will study the properties of light. They will explore how light travels, how it can be reflected and refracted, and the various ways light is used in technology. This will include hands-on activities to demonstrate these concepts.

 

 

Wellbeing - Term 3, 2025

 

In Wellbeing in term 3, students will continue to follow the Respectful Relationships program. Across all year levels, children will learn valuable problem-solving strategies, explore their personal strengths, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity within our school community.

Our Foundation learners will be discovering what it means to show care for themselves and others. The Grade 1 and 2 students are exploring caring across different cultures as well as investigating the impact of their caring actions. Students in Grade 3 and 4 are developing their understanding of caring behaviours and their impact on relationships and communities. While the students in Years 5 and 6 are taking on leadership roles and learning about respectful communication in various relationships.

Each lesson connects directly to our school value of Care, helping students understand how to care for themselves, their peers, and their broader community. Through interactive activities, discussions, and real-world applications, students will be building the foundation for healthy and respectful understanding of Care and their personal strengths.
