Principal's Message

Dear Turrun Primary School Community,
What an incredible Term 2 we’ve had! It has been such a joy to see our students settling into school life, building friendships, and embracing new learning experiences with enthusiasm. I am incredibly proud of how our community has come together to support one another as we continue to grow and develop as a school.
Term 3 promises to be another exciting and busy term. We’re thrilled to be holding our very first Parent-Teacher Interviews on Tuesday 29th July. This is a valuable opportunity for families and teachers to connect, celebrate student growth, and work together to support the next steps in learning. Strong partnerships between home and school are so important, and we look forward to welcoming families in for these important conversations.
There is so much to look forward to this term, including our Foundation to Year 4 swimming program, our celebration of Book Week, and our much-anticipated Year 3–6 Camp. These experiences are not only fun and memorable but also help build confidence, independence, and a love of learning beyond the classroom.
Throughout Term 3, we will be shining a spotlight on our school value of Care. We’ll be encouraging students to show kindness and compassion in their words and actions—towards themselves, their peers, their teachers, and the world around them. We’ll also be exploring the learning disposition of Curiosity, sparking questions, wonderings, and a genuine desire to explore and discover. Supporting students to become curious learners who care deeply about their learning and their community is central to who we are as a school.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are so lucky to have such a caring and engaged school community, and we can’t wait to see what Term 3 brings!
Our School Values and Learning Dispositions:
Care and Curiosity
Kindess and Collaboration
Personal Best and Courage
Respect and Commitment
Warm regards,
Kristy Miller
