Marcus Road Kindergarten Visit
We were grateful for the opportunity to read and inform the young children about primary school and how fun the experience will be for them. Isla and Olivia read whilst we spoke to the children.
Speaking to them was truly special because they listened and followed their four L's (Listening, Looking, Hands in Laps, Legs crossed).
As the session went on, we told them about all the special buddy activities you get to do when you’re in Prep. We also spoke about specialist classes such as P.E, Kitchen, Japanese, Art, Performing Arts and Science that you get to participate in once a week.
Towards the end, we donated the book we read to their Kinder Library and they seemed pleased. The children are truly blessed to have such a wonderful pre-learning facility. Our experience at the Marcus Road Kindergarten was fantastic.

Reading to the kindergarten kids was such a delight. They were very well behaved, spoke clearly when asking questions, and sat quietly through the book.
We read “When Dinosaurs Roamed Australia” to Jack’s Avenue kindergarten. They delighted us with questions about the book such as “Why do dinosaurs have wings and how do they use them?” or “ Do you like dinosaurs?”
We talked about what it was like being a Primary School student. Things such as: having a buddy in prep, incursions, excursions, camps starting from Year 3 and how Primary School is a big step up. They were all very excited about the journey through Primary School (especially the excursions!)
Overall, reading to the amazing kinder kids at Jack’s Avenue was a privilege and an experience that we will never forget.
