Instrumental lessons and Ensembles

Instrumental music lesson timetables will be completed over the Easter Break. Please communicate any changes to Mrs Nichole Atchison at music@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au.

Hamilton Eisteddfod Entries - close end of term

Parents are reminded that Hamilton Eisteddfod entries are open and will close at the end of the term. College ensembles will be entered by the music office. Individual student entries for instrumental, voice, dance, speech and drama must be made by parents via the Stardom website.

Please consult your instrumental music teacher for guidance regarding suitable sections to enter.

Out and about

Performing Arts students have embraced opportunities lately with excursions to Melbourne for VCE Topacts Drama, VCE Topclass Music, and performances at Open Day, featuring the cast of Mamma Mia! and our two ensembles that will tour to Generations in Jazz next term, The Jazz Collective and Festival Voices. 

This week culminates with our visit from the Australian String Quartet - with valuable student workshops, a fabulous Community Concert in the Simons Auditorium and the opportunity for College students to attend part of the ASQ Dunkeld Festival with a concert on Monday at the Mount Sturgeon Woolshed. All this reinforces our classroom learning and builds on our sincere relationship with arts organisations around the country, particularly our friends in the Australian String Quartet.
