Year 5 and 6 Camp

Our Year 5 and Year 6 students enjoyed three days at The Outside Inn at the Wannon this week. The students were wonderful ambassadors for the Junior School, exhibiting all our values throughout the three days of camp. The weather gods smiled on us and a great time was had by all. Thank you to Mrs Bell for her excellent coordination of the camp, and Mr Hawthorne and Mrs Bell for their generous support and encouragement of the Year 5 and Year 6 students. A shout out to Senior School P.E teacher Mrs Williams for assisting us on the water with the canoeing program.

District Athletics

I had the pleasure of attending the HDSA District Athletics last Thursday at Mitchell Park. The challenging weather proved no match for our Junior School athletes. Every student gave their all and left nothing on the track or in the field. The relays were a highlight of the day, with team spirit, energy and commitment to the fore. The following students qualified for the Division Athletics in Warrnambool on Friday, 2 May.

Will Brown, George Robertson, Harriet King, Harry Diprose, Olive Monk, Violet Shrive, Lachie Sweeney, Tommy Brown, Arlan MacDonald, Otto Whitehead and Theo Horne.

College Easter Service

The College Easter Service will be held next Wednesday, 2 April at the Anglican Church. This is a change from our usual venue, as St Andrews Presbyterian Church is undergoing renovations. The Junior School Chamber Singers will be performing, along with choirs from the Senior School. All students Prep to Year 6 are to wear their full summer uniform, with ties and blazers. The Service commences at 2.00pm.

ELC and Junior School Opening Morning

Next Wednesday is the ELC and Junior School Open Morning, 9.30 - 11.30am. Word of mouth is an important recruitment tool. If you have friends or family with ELC and/or primary aged children, please invite them to attend our Open Morning, where they will see wonderful teaching and learning from our talented students and staff and tour the Myrniong campus.
