Fantastic Year 6 Writing

This week the Year 6 students practiced their creative writing, using figurative language to make vivid descriptions of images that they were provided. Check out some of their amazing work below:

The waves roared as they crashed on the shore, and a gentle breeze brushed over the scene like a paintbrush with wistful strokes. Golden rays were blooming across the sand like a magnetic flower in the cobalt blue sky.

The wind whispered through the sky, while the golden sun rose steadily. Waves lapped at the sand like a dog drinking water. The sand felt as soft as clouds under my feet and the crystal clear water reflected the shining sun. The palm trees were fans, their huge leaves twirling in the light breeze. A majestic, red flower stirred, twitching on the sand.

Colour Run Fun

The Year 6s had an absolute blast at Colour Run last Friday. Many were even involved in helping to set up for the successful event. Getting the opportunity to navigate the course with their Foundation ‘Buddies’ made the experience even more special!

School Captains at Whitehorse Council

Our two school captains, Charlotte and Rohan, were invited by Whitehorse Council to take part in an engaging meeting with other local school leaders this week. The meeting gave Charlotte and Rohan the opportunity to share ideas for improvements that could be made in our local area. This was a terrific way for student voice to be included in ongoing works of the council. Further termly meetings will be attended for the rest of 2025.
