Art in the heart of the city

As part of our Public Art unit, 'Raise your Voice', students in Year 8 have been exploring forms of street art and the local public art scene.

They are currently learning about 'artistic appropriation' and applying their creative problem-solving skills by recreating a small sample of Hobart's streets as a collaborative painting to display at school.

Prefects get behind Tassie Mums

This year, we are embracing the Presentation touchstone of Hospitality at the College. This principle will guide our actions and interactions as we strive to create a welcoming space for everyone and receive others with kindness, inclusivity and compassion.

In line with this theme, the Year 12 Prefects have chosen to support Tassie Mums as their charity for 2025. Tassie Mums is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation that provides essential baby and children’s items to social service providers across Tasmania, helping vulnerable and at-risk children.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Clair Harris, the founder and CEO of Tassie Mums, to our Senior School assembly for our 'On the Couch' segment. During this segment, our Prefect for Social Justice, Grace Marshall, interviewed her about the charity's impactful work and its role in bringing real change to the community.

Donating basic, everyday essentials like clothing, nappies, toiletries, toys, books and prams can make a significant difference in supporting the health and wellbeing of children.

As a College with a proud history of giving back, we are passionate about supporting this amazing organisation and shining a light on its important work.
