Discover rowing at SMC

St Mary's College is hosting a free introductory rowing session for students in Years 7–11 on Sunday 6 April, from 8.00am to 10.00am. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience rowing for the first time in a safe and welcoming environment. Hop in a boat, pick up an oar and try something new – you might just find your next passion!

Hot cross bun drive for Project Compassion 

This year, supported by Cripps Master Baker, St Mary's College is offering hot cross bun packs for sale. 

Standard buns in packs of six will be available to purchase for $7. Money raised by this fundraiser will go directly to Project Compassion, the Lenten fundraising campaign by Caritas Australia. 

Hot cross buns can be ordered through the Qkr! app. Orders close at 10.00am on Friday 4 April. Ordered bun packs will be distributed to your child's classroom on Tuesday 8 April.

Student Free Day | Friday 11 April and holiday care

A reminder that Term 1 concludes for all students on Thursday 10 April. The following day, Friday 11 April, is a Student Free Day as all College staff will be participating in a Staff Spirituality Day. The College will therefore be closed. 

Please also note that due to the Staff Spirituality Day, Outside of School Hours Care will not be available on Friday 11 April. Parents and carers are reminded to ensure their child/ren have care organised for this day. The holiday care program will recommence on Monday 14 April.

Holiday care is provided from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday during the school holidays except on public holidays. For bookings and more information on this service, contact CatholicCare directly on 1300 119 455. 

Office hours during the break

During the school holidays, the College office will be open for enquiries from Monday 14 April to Thursday 17 April, between 9.00am and 3.00pm. 

Please note that the College will be closed from Friday 18 April to Friday 25 April for the Easter break and ANZAC Day public holiday, and on Monday 28 April for the Student Free Day. 

The office will resume regular term-time hours on Tuesday 29 April, operating from 8.00am to 4.00pm. 

Midford Sandy Bay | Easter closure notice 

Please note that the Midford Sandy Bay Uniform Shop will be closed for the Easter/term break from 4.30pm on Thursday 17 April. The shop will reopen to our community on Wednesday 23 April. 

During the school term, trading hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm and Saturday 10.00am–1.00pm (excluding public holidays).
