Wellbeing & Culture

I can’t believe that the 1st term of school is already over!

We have had a great time this term running many different programs with the students, including:

  • “Girls Inc” For the Grade 5 students - a program on strengthening friendships, and learning about values, identity and how to overcome social struggles. - Keep an eye on our newsletter for updates on what year level we will be running this program for next term.
  • Helping Hands - A recess program run for students, by students. This is an opportunity for our older students to assist the younger students in our Wellbeing garden by encouraging and supporting students whilst they play. - This program is an ONGOING program every recess. Please encourage your students to come visit, especially if you feel that they could benefit from some extra assistance in the playground.
  • We've had several small groups being run targeting things from building confidence, resilience and helping cultivate a growth mindset. We have also explored emotional regulation and navigating friendships. We generally cater them to the students and have had a wonderful time with the students this term.

Next term we will be looking at reintroducing Peaceful Kids, which is a Mindfulness and Positive Psychology based program designed to lessen anxiety, stress and increase resilience in children.

The start of the year is always a really busy time for us with students settling in and over 100 Prep students starting at our school. We are very grateful for a very busy but extremely successful first term. Can’t wait to see what next term brings!

Enjoy your holidays and we will see you next term!
