What a year of learning!

We have had such a fantastic year of learning in the 3/4 area! We are very proud of all of our students and everything that they have achieved in 2024. Thank you to all the families for their support this year.

Here is a recap of our last two weeks of Term 4.

T Ball

Over the course of Term 4, the 3/4 students have been competing in our annual 3/4 T ball competition. We are so proud of the great improvement in their skills and the way that teams worked together to achieve success. We concluded the competition with our last game and the Grand Final at Cole Reserve yesterday. We also enjoyed a picnic and some hot chips to celebrate our year.

Congratulations to 3/4E who are our 2024 Champions! Well done to all teams for their great teamwork and for being good sports, win or lose!

Discovery

We have finished up our unit on Living and Non Living things by completing  a projects on a chosen topic that relates to our learning in the unit. We have answered questions from 'why do pandas eat so much bamboo' to 'how do arctic animals survive in cold temperatures'. Here are some projects that show all the incredible learning that we have done!

Writing

We have been recapping our knowledge of instructional texts in writing. We have learnt about all the different parts of informative texts and made sure that our instructions were very specific so that we didn't end up with a whole tub of butter on our bread making fairy bread! Here are some pictures of us making and writing procedures on 'How to make fairy bread'.

First Aid

In week 9 all grades participated in the ‘First Aid in Schools Program’ where we learnt what to do in an emergency situation.

We learnt about DRSABC and how this can help us to save someone in an emergency situation.
