The Girls Soccer team & Boys Bat Tennis teams were Coburg District Premiers and we look forward to another successful interschool sport competition in 2025.

Football Star Academy ran some soccer clinics last week for the grade 3/4 students. They have training sessions on Saturdays at Moonee Ponds.

If you are interested there are flyers in the office.

Sport in 2025

Coburg District swimming trials will be on Tuesday the 18th of February, so early in Term 1. I would really love to see as many students as possible competing in this competition. The categories are under 10s, 11s & 12s.

If your child was born in 2015- under 10s, 2014- under 11s & 2013- under 12s.

The events are:

  • Freestyle
  • Backstroke
  • Breaststorke
  • Butterfly
  • Relays

If you are interested I will send out the information on how to register and participate at the start of next year.

Auskick

Great news! Our school will be hosting its own Auskick program next year starting probably some time in February. This will be run in conjunction with Pascoe Vale Football club. More detail to come once I have the information, so something fun to look forward to next year.

Thank You to Our Amazing PE Teacher, Mr Rees!

This week’s Sports Awards afternoon was sensational, and we would like to thank the incredible Mr Rees for making it happen! The time and effort you put into organising the event made it a memorable celebration of our students’ sporting achievements.

Your dedication to supporting the 5/6 cohort throughout the year has not gone unnoticed. From creating engaging and helpful intra-school sports instruction videos to providing guidance and patience during P.E. lessons, you’ve gone above and beyond to ensure everyone feels supported and inspired. Your organisation of interschool sports, from coordinating schedules to tracking down missing uniforms, is a testament to your commitment to our school community. We also can’t forget some of the many other things you’ve done this year, such as: running a brilliant athletics carnival, starting the students’ chants on the bus once or twice, your pranks and willingness to play along with ours (even if that means wearing a tiara) and a helping Miss Ansons with organising and booking the buses for the soccer finals. Your enthusiasm and hard work are greatly appreciated, thank you for everything you do to make PE and sports at our school so special!

From the 5/6 students and teachers ☺️
