FIRST RECONCILIATION
After last Thursday’s, Year 3 level mass, there were three children who made their First Reconciliation after being unable to attend the ceremony last term. This now completes all the Year 3 children’s Sacrament of Penance in preparation for their First Holy Communion next March in 2025.
We congratulate Aoife McNally, Annabel Taylor and Mia Owen for their reverent attitude towards this special Sacrament of forgiveness through the act of confession.
Thank you to all the Year 3 children who witnessed this event respectfully.
ST MARY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION FEAST DAY
As our parish feast day falls on Sunday, December 8th, the school will have their celebrations beforehand on Friday, 6th December.
The Feast day celebrates the conception of Mary, to her parents Saints Ann and Joachim, who were made aware that she was going to be a very special person in God’s plans. Being an immaculate conception meant Mary was born without original sin, allowing her then to one day give birth to Jesus, the Son of God.

END OF YEAR SCHOOL MASS
On Thursday, 12th December at 9:00am, St Mary’s School will celebrate their final school mass for the 2024 year.
After the mass, their will be a brief ceremony of the lighting of the candles from our current 2024 School Captains to our new, 2025 School Captains. This symbolic gesture is the passing over of the leadership roles that these children have in their final year at St Mary’s using the school’s motto for the year as a guidance to their role as School Captain.
Everyone is most welcome to attend our final liturgy for 2024.

YEAR 6 GRADUATION
On Friday, 13th December at 4:30pm, the Year 6’s will be celebrating their Graduation Mass and Valedictory Ceremony in St Mary’s Church. This is the final celebration for the students who have spent seven years of primary schooling and will soon begin their new journey to secondary school.
After the mass, there will be speeches given by the School Captains and the Principal, awards presented for Academic, Sport, Holy Spirit and Art, farewelling those families who will be leaving St Mary’s, Graduation certificates handed out and finally, a slideshow presentation of our Year 6 Student’s Hopes and Dreams.
It will a memorable time for the Year 6 students who will no doubt celebrate afterwards as they have now completed their primary schooling.
Everyone is most welcome to attend this ceremony and we ask that you be seated prior to the beginning of the mass at 4:30pm.
