AGM

On Wednesday 13th November, the annual PFA AGM was held in the staff room. Firstly, we would love to thank anyone who came down and supported this important, yearly meeting.

As of Wednesday, a new committee has been officially elected, with some long-standing members stepping down. They are as follows:

President: Kara Chun. Kara has done an impeccable job as PFA President this year. No job was too big or too small and she took it all on without hesitation. We are delighted and grateful that she has decided to continue as our president, and we look forward to another amazing year in 2025.

Vice President: Nikole Paola. Nikole was the heart and soul behind the Twilight Fair. She is hard working and dedicated to her role. We look forward to working with her next year!

Fundraising Committee: Welcome back to Anastasia Fisher, who will work closely with Wendy Azzopardi to bring all our amazing 2025 events!

Secretary: Rhiannon Noonan with be taking over our long-standing secretary, Bernie Dickson. Bernie has been a beacon within the PFA for the last 10+ years and we are incredibly thankful for all her efforts!

Another valuable member stepping down in 2025 is our Vice President, Stephanie Spiteri. Steph has worked tirelessly behind the scenes, from the Fair to the Disco and all the in-between. She will be missed greatly within the PFA team.

Thank you to all other general members who also help within the PFA. We couldn’t do it without your constant dedication and hard work!

The PFA has had an incredibly successful year, with big events like the Twilight Fair, the Disco at the end of Term 3, and our traditional Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls. Not only are we thankful to our members, but also the wider community at Holy Cross. Nothing we do would be possible without all hands-on deck, and we anticipate 2025 to be just as fun and successful as this year has been!

Bake Sale

The Grade 3 level ran another successful Bake Sale last Friday afternoon. A huge thank you to all parents that either baked, bought, or sold the goods to families after school. The $197 that they raised will be allocated for the year level to choose what they put their money towards.

The next bake sale will be on November 29th for the Grade 2 year level! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your class rep for more information!

Coming up we have the annual Christmas Concert on the 10th of December where the PFA will be running a BBQ. If you would like to volunteer your time during the evening, that would be an enormous help! Many hands make light work!

The door is always open for new members to join the PFA. It is a rewarding and delightful opportunity to connect with the Holy Cross community. Don’t hesitate to speak to one of our approachable members about upcoming events, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for dates for our upcoming monthly PFA meetings!

Again, a huge thank you to our families for all your efforts this year, it has been a great success. Also, thank you to our new committee members for volunteering their time outside of their busy schedules to ensure all goes to plan in 2025.
