VOCABULARY
Setting: The location or place where the story happens.
Settings can be either real or we can use our imagination to design a new setting.
E.g. Rainbow World.
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING
Students can use words to describe a setting, or they can compare other settings to each other.
Get students to draw a setting in their books and use words to describe it.
E.g. The weather is very cold.
There is white everywhere!
You leave footprints wherever you walk.
SNOW
Students can then draw another setting and compare the two.
