The House Cup

This year has been an incredible journey for Freeman House, placing 3rd place in the House Cup! The House Cup recognizes the commitment, values, and excellence of students, and Freeman House has shone brightly in every category. From attendance to values nominations, participation in school events, and learning habits reports, Freeman students have displayed a remarkable spirit of dedication and unity that deserves to be celebrated.

The area in which Freeman students excelled, was participation in events. Whether it was inter-house sports, academic competitions, arts performances, or community service projects, Freeman House students participated with enthusiasm and pride. Their energy, commitment, and teamwork made Freeman a visible presence at every event. By participating fully in these activities, Freeman House not only earned valuable points but also showed the school what it means to be a community of students who work together, support each other, and contribute to the school’s vibrant atmosphere.

While 3rd place is a fantastic achievement, we know Freeman House has even more potential. The dedication and spirit shown this year have laid the groundwork for even greater accomplishments in the future. We encourage all Freeman students to keep up the momentum by striving for excellent attendance, embracing school values, participating actively in events, and working on positive learning habits. Together, we can aim even higher next year!

Commencement

We’re also thrilled to announce that students have the opportunity to begin their 2025 subjects shortly, with the Commencement Program, where students will spend two weeks undertaking their year 2025 classes. It is extremely important for students to attend these classes as the work completed is the core learning that will be continued in 2025. This program gives everyone a head start on the year to come, allowing you to get a taste of the challenges and opportunities in your next level of study. The program will help you build relationships with your new teachers and classmates, familiarize yourself with new subjects, and set positive goals for the coming year. Embrace this opportunity to begin with fresh energy and determination! During Commencement, we encourage all students to set high expectations for themselves and to be open to trying new things. Whether you’re taking on a subject that’s new or digging deeper into a favourite area, give it your best effort, be curious, ask questions, and remember that growth often comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.

Congratulations once again on all your achievements this year. Let’s finish strong and set ourselves up for an amazing 2024!
