Remembrance Day

For Remembrance Day, students in the Year 8 NPELs art class created a mini outdoor installation with 3-dimensional paper sculptures and a chalk message. Using the traditional symbol of red poppies which bloomed in the battle fields of Flanders and Belgium in WWI, and the phrase ‘Lest we Forget’ the students brought the ideas of Remembrance Day into the school yard for the community to reflect on as they passed by.
