Reformation Day!
This holds special significance for us as a Lutheran school, as we remember the moment in history when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, on the 31st October 1517. Luther called the church of his day back to the Bible, and the grace of God which he has given to us in Jesus.
On Thursday 31st October, Lakeside College celebrated with a whole school chapel service. Year 9 students, who are currently studying the Reformation in Christian Studies, shared about Martin Luther and the significance of this day. Primary student leaders then nailed to the door some symbols to remind us of God's grace - the free gift of God, that Martin Luther reminded the church about.
