Professional Learning and Development

As we approach the end of 2024, staff have been busy preparing for the new Victorian Curriculum, with several learning areas, including Mathematics, commencing their new curriculum in 2025.

All Learning Areas have been allocated full day or half day planning time to be able to come together and map out curriculum documentation, assessments, resources and learning activities that are in line with the new curriculum and also address the Capabilities of:

  • Critical and Creative Thinking
  • Ethical Capability
  • Intercultural Capability
  • Personal and Social Capability

The Staff Conclusion Program at the end of the year, from the 9th – 13th December will have a strong focus on finalising curriculum documentation in readiness for 2025 as well as a Coaching focus for our Senior Leaders and a House and Wellbeing focus for our Heads of House and Tutors. Whilst the end of year can be a busy time, these days are crucial to allow for that strong collaboration to occur prior to the summer break.

We are very excited to be working with Growth Coaching International next year to support our Strategic Plan for the next 3 years with a coaching focus. Growth Coaching International is well renowned for their work in the coaching space, with a specific focus on educational settings. All staff who hold a Senior Position of Leadership (POL 3 and above) will be working with Growth Coaching International, commencing this December and into 2025.

Have your contact details or family circumstances changed?

If you have had any changes to your contact details or had family circumstances change it is important to contact the college to update your details. This also includes any changes to other family members or friends you have listed as a contact for your child. Ensuring your details are up to date means that we can make contact when needed. Please call or email college reception to update your details.

Staffing and Recruitment

We continue to recruit for subject teachers and Positions of Leadership for 2025. This time of year is always a very fluid period where there is movement within the college but also movement out and into our community. We will continue tor recruit for teachers to ensure we commence 2025 fully staffed.

New Staff Welcome Evening

On Wednesday 13 November we welcomed some of our new staff to our annual New Staff Welcome Evening. This has become a wonderful event for our commencing staff to visit the college, be introduced to key staff, get to know other new colleagues and take a tour around the college, led by our 2025 College Captains and College Vice-Captains.
