Yellow Class

This term, our class is exploring different shapes in the environment. So far, we have focused on circles. Students have been using their senses to look at, touch, and explore a variety of circular objects and foods. They demonstrated interest and engagement by reaching for, tapping, holding, rolling, and tasting items with a circular shape. 

Through a range of hands-on experiences, students have been developing their awareness of circles and how they appear in everyday life. Activities have included circle painting, textured circle exploration, bubble play, exploring circular foods, and listening to songs and stories about circles. It has been wonderful to see students actively engaging with these experiences and responding to circular objects in different ways. 

As the term progresses, we will continue our shape exploration by investigating squares, rectangles, and triangles through sensory-rich and engaging activities that support students to recognise shapes in their everyday environment.
