Dear School Community,

As we move closer towards the end of Term 3, I would like to take a moment to reflect on several significant events and achievements that have brought our community together over recent weeks.

One of the most exciting developments has been the continued progress of our planned building works. We have welcomed a number of builders and contractors to both campuses to review the proposed projects and provide detailed assessments. We are pleased with the progress being made and remain optimistic that construction will commence at the beginning of Term 4. These improvements will enhance our learning environments and further support the needs of our students for years to come.

Last week we also celebrated Book Week, a much-loved event across both campuses. It was wonderful to see the creativity, enthusiasm and joy shown by students and staff through their incredible costumes and participation in our Book Week parades. Events such as these help foster a love of stories, imagination and literacy while creating memorable experiences for our school community.

Our Catholic identity has been enriched through the celebration of two significant occasions in the Church calendar: the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. These celebrations provided opportunities for prayer, reflection and learning as we continue to deepen our understanding of faith and the example of those who have gone before us.

We are also continuing our work in developing the school's Reconciliation Action Plan. This important work has involved consultation with students, families and staff and reflects our commitment to reconciliation, truth-telling and respectful relationships. As part of this process, we have developed a shared Acknowledgement of Country that will be used consistently across both campuses, providing a unified expression of our respect for First Nations peoples and cultures.

Thank you to all families who attended Personalised Planning for Learning (PPL) meetings this term. The partnership between home and school remains one of the most important factors in supporting student growth, wellbeing and learning. We deeply value the insights, aspirations and feedback families bring to these conversations, and we appreciate your ongoing commitment to working alongside us to achieve the best outcomes for every student. If you have not had the opportunity to have your meeting, please contact your class teacher.

Our recent PATH Morning Teas have also been a valuable opportunity for families. These gatherings have not only provided practical information and support regarding future pathways but have also fostered meaningful connections between families who share similar experiences and aspirations for their children.

In the coming weeks, families will be invited to participate in two important surveys that will help inform the future direction of our school. The first survey will provide valuable feedback to support our ongoing improvement, planning and decision-making processes as we continue to enhance learning, wellbeing and community engagement across both campuses. The second survey will contribute to the Made in the Image of God program, that is taught across Catholic Education South Australia, helping us better understand how we support the dignity of every member of our community. I recognise that families lead busy lives and that finding time to complete surveys can be challenging. However, your voice is incredibly important, and I would greatly appreciate your support in completing both surveys when they become available. Your feedback will help shape the future of our school and strengthen the work we do together for our students

Finally, I would like to advise families that I will be taking Long Service Leave during Week 10. During this time, Sean Perry and Cathy Sires will continue to be your primary points of contact regarding your child and any school-related matters. I thank them for their ongoing leadership and support of our community.
