Term 2 Units & ANZAC Day Liturgy
As we begin Term 2, students will be engaging in our God, Religion and Life units, which invite them to deepen their understanding of God and reflect on how faith shapes the way we live, relate to others and care for the world.
Throughout the term, students will:
- Explore their personal understanding of God and recognise how God’s love is revealed through creation and human relationships
- Reflect on beauty and goodness as signs of God as Creator
- Develop an understanding of stewardship, learning how we are called to care for our environment and God’s creation
- Examine the concept of free will, making connections to choices and right relationships
- Deepen their understanding of forgiveness and reconciliation through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus
- Learn about God as Trinity — Father, Son and Holy Spirit and why this is central to our faith
Explore the role of the Holy Spirit and how it continues to guide believers today
Through these units, students will be encouraged to not only build knowledge, but also to reflect on their own lives, considering how they can live with kindness, responsibility and compassion.
This term, our Prep students are also trialling the new Religious Education curriculum, and we will continue to gather feedback to support its development and implementation across the school.
ANZAC Day Liturgy
We were proud to gather as a school community for our ANZAC Day Liturgy, reverently led by our Year 4 students. Together, we paused to remember and honour the courage, sacrifice and service of the men and women who have served our country. Students demonstrated beautiful reverence and respect throughout the liturgy, particularly during moments of silence and prayer.
A special thank you to Mr Prowse for his time and care in preparing the students so thoughtfully for this meaningful occasion. As a faith community, we reflected on the importance of being people of peace, carrying forward the values of courage, compassion and service in our own lives.
