HPGE GROUPS

At Green Valley, our HPGE  groups are designed to support students who show high potential and giftedness in various areas. These groups provide opportunities fir students to participate in challenging and engaging activities that extend their learning, helping them reach their full potential. 

Writing Groups ✏️

The Stage 3 writing group has been working hard on their entries for the 'What Matters' writing competition. Students have chosen their topics about what matters to them, giving them an opportunity to express their ideas and creativity. Some of the topics students have chosen include:

• 'Elephant on Your Chest'
• 'Finding Your True Self'
• 'My Grandpa's Life'
• 'A Bowl of Pho'

We can't wait to share our students' unique voices and essays with our school community.

The Stage 2 writing group will soon start preparing their entries into the WriteOn writing competition - an annual writing competition for all NSW primary students in Years 1 to 6. It is an exciting opportunity for students to develop skills in writing to express their ideas. 

Students create an imaginative text of up to 500 words, using a provided stimulus.

Mathematics Groups 🧮

The Maths Olympiad, Maths Games and Maths Explorer groups are currently preparing for the first of four competition papers, which will be administered in Week 3.
